|With a low team score of 25 points, Claremont High School’s boys’ Varsity cross country team won the Palomares League team title Saturday, October 27 at Whittier Narrows.
Claremont’s 25 points won the race, followed by Ayala (58 points), Colony (102), Alta Loma (108), Bonita (118), and Glendora (125).
Ryan Cowgill paced the CHS runners with his 2nd place finish in 14:55 over the 3-mile course, just seven seconds behind winner Andrew Martinez of Ayala (14:47). Behind Cowgill for CHS were Aaron Reyes (4th, 14:56), Adam Trafecanty (5th, 14:57), Jacob Moran (6th (14:58), and Jack Keough-Lansford (7th, 15:03).
CHS does not compete this coming Nov. 3 weekend, but will resume competition on Saturday, November 10 at the CIF Prelims in Riverside.
