Boys Junior Varsity Cross Country, Boys Varsity Cross Country · Boys Cross Country Takes 3rd in State !!


Claremont High School’s boys’ varsity cross country team finished a strong third place at the CIF State Cross Country Championships Saturday, Nov. 25 at Woodward Park in Fresno.

CHS scored 101 points to take third behind winner Newbury Park (77 points) and La Costa Canyon (90 points), and the Wolfpack moved up from the team’s fourth place finish from 2017.

Senior Ryan Cowgill paced CHS with his 13th place finish in 15:33.5 over the rolling dirt 5000m (3.1 mile) course. Behind Cowgill for CHS were junior Adam Trafecanty (19th, 15:42.2), senior Aaron Reyes (26th, 15:47.2), senior Jacob Moran (33rd, 15:49.4) and senior Vicente Huerta (43rd, 15:57.1).

The CHS squad closes a very strong and successful season.
