The Pack bounced back from a tough league opener last week to beat the Huskies 28-19 at Claremont High School on Thursday. They even their league record at 1-1 and move to 5-2 on the season. Claremont was led by quarterback Jake Retzlaff with 4 touchdown passes. He spread those passes out to 4 differently receiver. He found Isiah Love on a fade the Love made a great play on the ball and out jumped the defender. His second went to the yardage leader on the day Alex Sotolongo on a seam route that went over 50 yards. The third was hauled in by Ryan Campuzano with a toe-tap in the back of the end zone. His final one was on a 4th down play to Chavas Beverly to put the game out of reach. The defense had many 4th down stops and proved its worth again with a great week of practice.
The Pack hits the road next week (we’ll just down the road to Bonita) for a show down with the Bearcats.
