Running in the Varsity Girls ‘A’ Gold Division, Claremont’s JV team took second place at the 2017 Woodbridge Cross Country Invite held at SilverLakes Park in Norco.

Lauren Noeth paced CHS with her 5th place finish in 18:08 over the 3-mile grassy course. Sarah Ayala (13th, 18:30), Annette Hermelin (17th, 18:39), Julie Marriott (25th, 19:00), and Larissa Cursaro (30th, 19:04) rounded out the top five CHS finishers.

CHS entered runners in a variety of races. Claremont took 2nd place in the JV Girls – Gold division with 51 points. Emma Carter won the race in 18:31, thirteen seconds ahead of the second place finisher.

Claremont took sixth place in the Sophomore Girls – Gold division with 165 points. Isatu N’diaye was CHS’s top finisher in 8th place (19:25).

CHS won the Frosh Girls – Gold division with 89 points to top 21 scoring schools. Lily Widrig led CHS runners with her 3rd place in 18:57.
